Rick Soloway is the Director of People & Culture for Synergy Settlement Services, providing support services to the staff of Synergy. As a tenured Human Resources professional, his motto has always been: “take care of the people who take care of the people.” He focuses as much energy and resources on the staff as the staff give to the clients Synergy serves.
Rick has a bachelor’s degree from Temple University and a master’s degree from St. Joseph’s University. He began his career in Human Resources with a large non-profit for court committed juvenile delinquents in Philadelphia where he created the training department. He then moved to the largest urban public library in New York, where he oversaw the Training & Recruiting areas. During his tenure at the library, he was able to reduce the vacancy rate for librarians to 0 and had a waiting list to join the system.
In 1999 he relocated to South Florida where he created and expanded Human Resources departments for several large non-profits through 2017 and owned a group benefits plan company. During this period, he successfully created succession plans and learning tracks for employees, ensured market competitive salary ranges, provided employee programs to help maintain employee satisfaction, implemented new technology to streamline processes, reduced time to hire and assisted managers maintain an ideal work environment.
